A fairy tale house

The magic of Trulli del Trappeto

Trulli del Trappeto is one of a kind. It combines the vast spaces of an old olive mill with no less than nine trulli - the whitewashed cones that are so characteristic to the area. Trulli del Trappeto’s patina of the old olive mill and the magic of the historic trulli combine beautifully with its newly renovated, modern comforts and inspiring design. The respect for its original, historic elements and attention to detail is evident whichever way you turn.

Whether you are looking for a luxurious, multi-generational property, a generous hide-out with your friends or a large villa to accommodate several families, Trulli del Trappeto will not disappoint. There are numerous areas to lounge together as well as many nooks and corners to have some privacy.

There is a total of six generous bedrooms. First there is the huge master bedroom with ensuite in the former stable. Then there is one extra large and two large bedrooms in the old olive mill, each with their own ensuite. They share a lounge area overlooking the pool and garden as well as the Chiesa Madre San Giorgio of Locorotondo in the distance. From here there are external steps leading down to the pool area and the outdoor kitchen. Last but certainly not least there are two bedrooms in the trulli. The typical cone shaped roofs, the incredibly thick walls and the decoration add to the magical experience that is sleeping in an authentic, ancient trullo. These two rooms share a very atmospheric, spacious bathroom that is also suited to less abled people. They share access to the large front terrace.

The kitchen, dining and lounge area combine vaulted ceilings, arches, an authentic fire place and antique tiling. The decoration is an intriguing mixture of old, new and made-to-measure. The result is a very atmospheric and tranquil environment to enjoy each others company or seek some peace and quiet while everyone is enjoying the garden.

The garden has been beautifully landscaped with the same attention to detail that is so typical for Trulli del Trappeto. The garden is dotted with fruit trees bearing all sorts of juicy fruits for you to enjoy as fresh as it comes. From apricots to pomegranates and from lemons to figs; each season brings its own bounty. There is also an extensive herb garden adjacent to the outdoor kitchen.

Those who want to escape the summer heat can not only jump in the generous pool or laze in the shade of the olive trees. They will also find refuge in the huge, cool, open space that was once the old olive mill. Beautiful old details adorn the space, painstakingly restored to its former glory where possible.

We look forward to your stay.
